Strutt & Parker property agents by Forme UK

Quite a few months after I took them, here are some shots of the rather lovely Mayfair HQ of property consultant Strutt & Parker, designed by Forme UK. There's a nice mix of period detail with contemporary insertions.

Obvious pictures of London and the Jubilee Bridge crossing

Okay, I'll throw my hands up. Some cliché photos of the Jubilee Bridge in central London. Snapped on the way home this evening with the Sigma DP1. Handheld, nonetheless, so don't try making enlargements that are too big! But the light was quite nice, and sometimes it's almost acceptable to follow the tourists...

Destination Margate

Turn off the lights

Finally made it to Margate to shoot the Dreamland site, as part of my Sea Change case studies commissioned by CABE. It seemed like forever on the train getting there (including an amusing incident at Whitstable where someone tried to bring a motorbike on board), but it was all worth it. Fab architecture and great beach - what more do you want?

Billington Cartmell's new spaces by Platform

Slightly tardy posting these images I recently shot of several news spaces created for marketing/ad agency Billington Cartmell by Platform Group. There's a James Bond-themed meeting room (no fluffy white cat, alas) and a reception with more padded walls than the local secure psychiatric institution.

Gratuitous cat pictures

Dolly as wide angle pet (one for South Park fans)

Tufty in his favourite spot, looking out of the window at the birds and squirrels

Spooky - trying to get in on the wide angle pets act

Love is... Tufty

I'd like to claim that these photos were taken to demonstrate the wonderful quality of images taken with the Sigma DP1. But no. They just show how cute the kitties can be when they're not waking you up at 4.30am, chasing each other round the flat like a whirlwind or coughing up hairballs!

Food in the workplace debate in FX magazine

The latest issue of FX features my report on a recent debate convened by the magazine about food in the workplace. I was also commissioned to photograph the event, and also film the debate in action.

100% Design creative 2009

Fuwagardner - the creative agency I run with Junko Fuwa - has been working with The Neighbourhood on this year's marketing imagery for 100% Design. The result is a hybrid photo/CGI image that communicates the creative inspiration provided by a visit to the show. We're now busy working with the image for a wide range of marketing materials including tickets, magazine adverts and direct mails.

Apologies for the delay

Jaywick, Essex

For anyone who regularly tunes into my blog, sorry for not having posted for ages. I've been really busy working on a major project about seaside regeneration for CABE and its partners, including English Heritage and the DCMS. That's not to mention loads of work with 100% Design. I'll start uploading recent work as soon as possible!

Project Orange house in Clerkenwell, London

Some of my images of a new-build house (which also includes a number of apartments in an adjacent refurbished block) in Clerkenwell. Designed by Project Orange, the house features shingle cladding and a huge central living/dining/work space.
