Just back from a quiet week in the beautiful Welsh countryside, near to the tiny university town of Lampeter. Tucked away, high on a hill along a long and bumpy track was our accommodation for the week - the wonderful Y Beudy holiday cottage. For peace and tranquility - with views over fields, sheep and streams - it can't be bettered. And there's nothing nicer than sitting around the cast iron stove at night. And the tomatoes and cucumbers from the owner's greenhouse were delicious - thanks Nuala!

Lampeter is a good base for exploring many areas of south and west Wales, including Aberystwyth, the Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire coast. It's just a shame we had awful colds so stayed indoors much of the time - typical when you stop working!
