Essay published in response to Coastcards short films

Thanks to my recent meanderings around England's coast on behalf of CABE, I was asked by arts organisation Animate Projects to write an essay in response to three short films about the seaside.

Animate Projects commissioned the films as part of CABE's Sea Change initiative. The artists Susan Collins, Andrew Kötting and Kayla Parker & Stuart Moore were each asked to make a "seaside postcard" from a Sea Change-funded town that they live in or nearby.

The films - which are set in Bridlington, Hastings and Teignmouth - were premiered at the recent SeaScape conference, part of the Skegness International SEAS Festival.
