Richmond Park
With today's crisp autumn sunshine, I couldn't resist a quick trip to Richmond Park. Especially as we had been trapped in crowded trains for more than five hours on a train coming back from Chesterfield yesterday, thanks to the ineptitude of East Midlands Trains. Richmond Park is - in my opinion at least - the most glorious of London's parklands, a vast swathe of grass, lakes and trees that really makes you feel like you are miles from anywhere. And although the best of autumn colour has passed, there was still plenty to keep me happy.
